Balenciaga

Founded in 1917 by Cristóbal Balenciaga, the Spanish brand is renowned for its avant-garde designs and revolutionary silhouettes. After its closure in 1968, the house was relaunched in 1986. Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director from 1997 to 2012, modernized the brand's heritage with futuristic, structured designs. In 2015, Demna Gvasalia took the helm, bringing a subversive, urban approach that redefined contemporary fashion with collections inspired by streetwear and pop culture, while preserving Balenciaga's innovative DNA.
